VERY VERY VERY DISSATISFIED AND DISAPPOINTED

I went to Best Buy to return a product I’ve now had for about 20 days to be told they have a 15 day policy and it’s written on the receipt somewhere, not acceptable. Most places have a 30 day return policy and if you are outside those perimeter you have a duty to your customer to let them know. Circle or point it out but make sure they know especially if they’re spending more than $100. I was treated so badly not only did they not wanna work with me when I told him I don’t need anything now I just need the cash back that I gave you for the product that I’m not satisfied with. Now I have store credit to a store I need nothing from. I could use the cash I am due back though to I don’t know maybe feed my kids or pay a bill. $222.92 doesn’t grow on trees and I certainly don’t have it like that that sitting on a store card does me any good. The Best Buy in Crossgates Mall #428. Poor customer service. The 1st manager basically told me they have a return policy if 15 days and when I asked him to see if there was anything he could do to override it because they was not informed of this on the purchase date he walked away like he was going to speak to someone and left me waiting 20 minutes at which point I was told he had left for the day. The next manager came out and said there was nothing she could do and handed me the store credit card. To top it off they told me I had to leave the store if I wanted to try and offer my card to their other customers for them to use to make their purchases so I could get my cash back. I am so very dissatisfied with their customer service I will never make another purchase from them again. I talk a lot and I will share this story with everyone I come across. You drive for Uber and Lyft I will be sharing my story with all of my passenger. You know all about customer service and this Best Buy doesn’t have it.👎🏾

Best Buy is always willing to work within the Terms of our Return & Exchange Promise, which we’ve had in place for many years. We take steps to keep our customer informed, by posting this inside our stores, on our website, and including the details on receipts in both physical and digital form.

 

Although I realize you were hoping for a refund to the original form of payment, I’m glad to know the leaders at the Best Buy in Crossgates Mall were able to make an exception to offer you store credit, considering your purchase was beyond the return period. Store credit does not expire, so if there is not something you need immediately, you will be able to use that towards a future purchase. Please note, as stated in our Terms & Conditions: “You may use the Best Buy Properties for your personal, noncommercial use only.” Attempting to sell your store credit while inside the store would not be permitted.

Doesn’t help because I need the cash. The product was not to my satisfaction within the first week I just did not have a chance to recharge that I know about the 15 day policy or if it was made more clear to me I would have gone out of my way to make it back to the store cause I need the money more than I need that card I do not shop there often nor do I plan on shopping there again because of this whole transactions

Thanks for the reply. Although I understand this was not the outcome you were hoping for, the exception the store has made to return the funds to the store credit would be the option available beyond the return period. For future purchases, if a return or exchange is necessary, doing so within the allotted time-period would allow for funds to be returned to the original form of payment.
