Used item sold as new

Bought a Sonos play 3 in 2018 as brand new and paid full price... have been having issues so we got in touch with Sonos ..just found out from Sonos item was registered in 2017 by another user... that’s unacceptable Best Buy selling used item as brand new... I’ve a email from Sonos stating item was registered in 2017... As per Sonos since item was registered in 2017 by the 1st owner warranty is effective from that date..so we are out of warranty ... unfair business practice Best Buy!!

Sonos is amazing wireless speaker option for your home. Thank you for choosing Best Buy for your purchase of your Play 3. I know it’d be shocking to discover you may have received an open-box item when you didn’t order one. We appreciate the time you’ve taken to bring this to our attention.

 

Open-box items should be clearly marked at the time of purchase. We’re sorry to hear the item you received may not have been new in box item as you had expected it to be. I called Best Buy customer service spoke to a manager yesterday and was told they can’t do anything at this point ... I was shocked to get a response like that from a company like Best Buy ...anyways who and how can I private message?? Please explain.

I can forward attatchments of order detail and email from Sonos. Please advice how to??

We’re sorry to hear that a leader at your local Best Buy noted they’d be unable to assist you further. Let’s just start with that private message and then we can decide if that documentation from Sonos is needed.
