Applecare return

Hello, I had purchased an apple Iphone open box online. I was not satisfied with it and decided to return it. I am wondering how applecare will be refunded. Since bestbuy is an official partner of Apple, will bestbuy refund me for the applecare as well? It has not been even 10 days since I purchased and returned the product.

You’ll want to speak to the subscriptions team at 1-888-BestBuy. Due to the same traffic that has the wait times on that number, the moderators here will likely not reach your post for several days. I would recommend that route as opposed to a dispute since the only way to activate it in the first place requires the card and customer input on the screen. Typically, these renewals are phone insurance, antivirus programs, Microsoft 365, etc. You can find this information online as well at BestBuy.com after you log in to the associated account and look under “subscriptions and renewals”.

Issue with geek squad protection refund

Hello! I purchased an air conditioner on May 26th. Without my knowledge, the store added a $40 protection plan on when I picked it up. I noticed I had been charged the $40 and contacted bby customer care. They refunded me $15.xx and refuse to do anything about the difference in amount. I never agreed to have a protection plan so it seems silly not to get the full $40.xx back when I have been trying since the day after purchase. Please assist

Total Tech Support - Best Buy Support

This is the first time I have ever used Best Buy and most likely the last.

 

I have tried calling to get support for "total tech support" that I purchased on or around February 27, 2020, along with the set up of a new computer performed by GeekSquad in California. The computer died in April, when everything shut down- shelter in place. The System was not working for 3 MONTHS. The store opened on Monday, took the computer and waiting for them to repair. I have been trying to get a hold of anyone to speak with about extending my support option purchased. This is truly one of the worst customer experiences I have been through.

 

I have called, talked to different people -none who can help. I was on the phone with someone for 10 min, who then put me on hold for 20 min and then the call disconnected. I JUST WANT TO ADD 3 months to the contract - DUE TO THE store being shut down and NO ONE available to help. @Bestbuy this is SIMPLE Customer Service.

 

Can someone advise?

Best buy applecare+

I called several times in regards to the charge in my card about my subscription to apple care and i called months ago to stop it because i subscribed to a different care from verizon, several customer service rep hung up on me and i feel upset and frustrated about it because they said they cant refund me the money after i called to cancel subscription but of course the representative did not do it and they said i did not call to cancel, they are questioning my integrity for calling, i am a best buy customer for a long time and they have me in this situation, wth, i know its just $20 a month but that would buy me a decent meal for a day, if this is not gonna be resolved i would go to bbb

Generally you are provided with a confirmation number when you cancel the insurance, this usually makes it easy to confirm that it was canceled.  I'm sorry if that was not done. Hopefully the moderators can assist with that once they reach this post.

 

Out of curiousity, what made you choose Verizon's insurance which is provided by Asurion over AppleCare+ which is ran by Apple themselves?  Over the years I've had mixed success with various 3rd party warranties while I used the AppleCare+ on my iPhone X to it's fullest.  The replacement phone I received from AT&T (also Asurion) was problematic, while the ones I got for both times I dropped my iPhone X were indistinguishable from a new phone.

Whatever the reason I cancel my subscription it should be done properly thats is how customer care is. The applecare+ doesnt cover lost and stolen, thats the very reason i take the insurance from verizon and it covers all my devices. The thing is they made me look like I was lying when i said i called, i dont know who i spoke with before or maybe there is also ghosting for best buy, if you know what i mean.

Agreed, which is why I mentioned that getting the confirmation number ensures that it's complete.  It's unclear, but if you haven't already done so you'll want to reach back out and get that plan canceled.  The team here works out of corporate, but doesn't have access to the systems needed to cancel rebilling or subscriptions.  The moderators can help get this recorded at the corporate offices, they will respond once they reach your post in the queue.

 

 

FYI: AppleCare+ with Theft and Loss does cover those things, and has been available since the XS, XS Max, and XR.

Total Tech Support - Extension or Refund?

Hello. I purchased the Total Tech Support almost a year ago when I was getting some speakers, subs etc. installed in my car. The plan in March was to do the same for my wife's vehicle but of course, the Coronavirus hit, I talked to an agent online who could not help and just cancelled my plan before it expires in a week or so. Obviously I do not want to renew or buy another year when I have 4 months of the plan that I would not be able to use. Again, not faulting Best Buy, but what do I do in terms of getting what I already paid for? Can I get a refund for the months I lost? I would event be okay with it going towards renewing my Total Tech Support. I only purchased it to get the benefit of not paying for the labor.

 

Anyone have any thoughts or advisement? Its much appreciated.
