Terrible Service

I purchased an Ipod and Airbuds, for a friend going through chemo, thought it would keep them busy while they were in and out of the hospital. I ordered them on Sep 27th with the Ipod coming Wednesday October 2, and the airpods coming Monday October 7. I needed them by Wednesday the 9th because that was when she started chemo. I only recieved the Ipod on time. So on October 8th I called Best Buy to see what was happening with my order, he was confused on why I had not recieved the airpods and thought they may have been lost in the mail, so he said he would reship a second pair, and I would recieve them the next day on October 8th. I was pleased as thats when I needed them. Well October 8th came and no airpods. This was disappointing as I told my friend what I had purchased for her, and then to let her down when she was already going through something horrible was terrible. 

I end up recieving the original pair thursday the 9th 3 days later than originally expected, and then firday the 10th I recieved the reshipped pair, which again was suppose to come Wednesday the 8th. Now I have to ship the one pair to my friend as she left for the hospital 5 hours away so she can finally have her gift, and am stuck with this second pair. 

I have contacted customer service and let them know I do not live near a best buy, this is why I purchased through the online store. So I asked if a mailing lable could be mailed so I could return, but they say all they can do is email it. I have no access to a printer, which I told the representative. She recommeneded the library, which again I cannot access because I work all day and right after work I head to my college classes till 10 at night. 

I have been a loyal best buy customer. I have purchased every ipod, tv, computer, literally everything electronic from best buy so I would hope they would give me good customer serivce. 

If I had access to a printer this would be easy, but I do not nor do I have the time to search around for somewhere to print. This is a problem not becuase of my doing, but best buys so they should make it right, I should not have to bend over backwards bc they cannot get their shipments right. 

Whenever I have needed to return through Amazon their customer service has been excellent. They have shipped me packages and return lables for any items they made mistakes on. I guess I have learned my lesson, and my business will now be given to other stores.

You are sound like a very good friend, and I am sure your friend is very thankful for the gift you purchased her! Regarding the return of the extra pair of Airpods, the only way that we can provide a prepaid return label would be via email.

 

You stated that you do not have a printer, and that you are not near a library, but may I suggest that you print the label at your college if possible?

 

Additionally, it may be an option to visit your local UPS store and have them print the label for you after we send it out.

I am unable to print anything from the college that is not school related, and I live in a small town no we're near a UPS or Best buy.
I'm unsure why mailing a label is not possible, especially when it is best buys fault that I am in this situation. If I could access a printer I would, but like I said before mon through Friday I leave before and get home after the library is open. On weekends my three children do sports every single Saturday so I am never home when the library is available.
When a company makes mistakes they should do what ever they can to fix the issue. Mailing a piece of paper should not be that big of a deal for a huge company like Best buy. Had my order come when they said it would we would not be in this situation. And it was not the fault of the postal service as they said that Best Buy sent the package the cheapest way possible, which is why it came 3 days past its original due date.

I realize this may not be the most convenient option for you, but emailing a return label is the only way that we can provide one. Please follow up via private message with the information requested if you’d like us to work on getting a return label emailed to you.

I have been emailed the return label already that does not help me in any way. I will try to figure out a way to get it back, but Best buy has lost a loyal customer. The laptop for college and the tv for my husband, that we were planning on purchaing come Christmas, will now be purchased elsewhere.

I should not have to go out of my way to fix a problem Best buy created.  I will stick with businesses who truly put the customer first. Next time they say they will get a product to a customer at a certain time they should probably follow through with that.
