Your store staff seem poorly train for a promotion that has been going on for a while.
One store manager said my hard drive doesn't qualify for the offer and i need bring in a printer or router for the trade in. He said hard drive is not a consumer electronics devices and i need to trade in a "consumer electronics" for the offer. So Best Buy a store that sell "consumer electronics" doesn't know what "consumer electronics" means? I am confused.
The other store basically said we are not doing this offer and you cant do anything about it. Manager of the second store doesn't care what i show him on my phone and his only reply is "we are not doing it and i don't care what corporate said. So my guess is Best Buy stores are independently operated?
As a customer of best buy my expectations is to have the same shopping experience across all stores. I am buy from the Best Buy brand not a store that doesn't care about their customer.

Hello, kakachen001, and welcome to our online community!
Thank you for posting on our forum for support. It's great to hear you're interested in recycling at Best Buy, and I understand your concern with this experience you had. We never intend to cause any confusion when it comes to our programs, and I hate that you had this kind of interaction at two stores recently. I'm hoping I can assist moving forward.
