Return warning for Elite members

Not sure if this is beyond Best Buy's policy. I was always under the impression that you can return an item within the stores policy. Why do i get a warning during my last return. I was told that the its i normally return are the ones that are always stolen from the store.

I always have receipts when i return an item. Amd normally they are still in like new condition. Is there anything that can be done here. I do have Amazon prime which has a great return policy, bit i want to use my Nest Buy account every now and then.
