Return Customer Service

We recently purchased a LG 70 inch smart tv from best buy.

Kept it for a few days and the color was not half as good and the Samsung 65 inch.

So I took the TV back to the store where it was purchased.

i had it boxed just like it was when we bought it.

Of course they had to unbox and turn on to make sure it played i guess and that all the parts were there.

So they processed the return and once it was done told me that a check would be mailed out that day.

This was on Feb 6th and today is the 13th and we still have not received the check.

Now when I call all they can tell me is it is processed well it could be processed but was it put in the mail.

This is an awful way to get a refund.

A check was written on the day the TV was purchased which they in turn process and give you the check back so the funds are taking from your account right then, so why can the refund be processed and returned back to your checking account the same way they took the funds from your account?

It should not take that long to get your money back on a return.

What would happen if Best Buy had to wait 10 days to get their  money for purchase? They would not allow that and it should not be allowed to make a customer wait like that.

This was a first time purchase from Best Buy and it will be the last.

Purchasing a TV should be exciting, so I'm dismayed that your LG didn't work out as the color was better on the Samsung. I know waiting for a refund, especially if it's taking longer than you imagined, could test anyone's patience. 


Under our Return & Exchange Promise, if you paid more than $800 in cash or more than $250 by check or by a debit card without a major credit card logo, we will refund you by check within 10 business days. I understand you have been closely watching your mail for this check, and have yet to receive it.
