Restocking Fee for Defective Item

Good afternoon,

Having had no success resolving my issue I’m hoping to gain the attention of a policy-maker or other supervisor who can help me recoup the 15 % ($315) restocking fee I was charged.

Thank you,
Paul

Re: Restocking Fee for Defective Item

Hi there, Paul,

Thank you for taking the time to visit us here on our community forums and writing to us regarding this return. I know if I were in your shoes I would want to receive a full refund, I would be glad to provide some information about our Return & Exchange Promise.

Depending on the type of product you purchased, there may be a stocking fee if you return it. These include drones, DSLR cameras and lenses, mirrorless cameras and lenses, electric bikes, electric mopeds, leg and body recovery systems, premium camcorders, projectors, projector screens, and special-order products.

Using the information associated with your forum profile, I see that you have already reached out to us on Twitter. To prevent any confusion, we will continue to assist you there. Please let us know if we can help with any unrelated matters!

Regards,

Re: Restocking Fee for Defective Item

Hi Andrew,

My attempts to resolve this issue with your counterpart on Twitter have been futile. I’m left with the impression that BestBuy simply does not care about their customers and would rather impose a $315 restocking fee (for a small camera mind you that was not functioning properly - it’s a head scratcher, no?) and alienate a long-time customer as opposed to doing the right thing. Ball is in your court.

Please advise,
Paul

Re: Restocking Fee for Defective Item

Andrew,

The timing of the $5 BestBuy reward certificate I just received via email is somewhat poetic. Returning to my previous comment; awaiting your response.

Thanks,
Paul
