I purchased a computer, paying cash for it all thinking a prebuilt would be more convenient. The computer was loud and faulty so I decided to return it and get components to build my own instead. This is where I get sideswiped, since the product was more than $800 they automatically mail a check to my filed address.
This is completely absurd. You are willing to take my money right away but in order to get my hard earned cash back, it will be on “your terms?” How would you feel if I purchased a product and told you “you’ll get the money in about 10 business days, thank you for the product?” It would never happen. So, I’m not even sure why this refund check is even a thing. It is a complete inconvenience to the customer, and worst of all, the process is a complete MYSTERY.
I have spent the entirety of my day trying to get a hold of someone who would give me an idea of the status of my refund check, but surprise surprise, no one knows anything. The store gives me the most generic responses and your costumer service team knows nothing. I was put on hold for an extended period of time, hung up on, and told that they know nothing (separate occasions by the way). All this is adding up to is a big “I don’t know what is going on with YOUR money.” What is the point of having such a feature as a return if you can’t even give your customer a way to track the process. You take the product we purchased and tell us it will eventually get back to us, like we are suppose to be okay with that. Well I am not.
If you can give me the number to any department that will give me some straight answers instead of the wild goose chase your representatives have given me that would be GREATLY appreciated. And if there is also a way to expedite this process, even if you have to deduct it from my refund (which shouldn’t even need to take 15 business days may I add) that would be helpful too.
Not sure if everyone is okay with such 4 figures floating around until it eventually gets to them but I am not. I will be getting to the bottom of this.
