Refund Issue -Abhorent Customer Service Experience

March 22nd I purchased a basic mounting for my 58” TV I purchased also from Best Buy, in the amount of $49.99. I scheduled the service for my move on April 17th. The Geek Squad came & did an absolutely great job. Super professional. I am very happy with the service I received.

However, it quickly paled when I checked my Chase account to see that I was charged in error the $49.99 fee AGAIN (DOUBLE CHARGE.)

In no way, shape, form  or fashion should I have been charged with this when I paid for it just shy of a month prior. 

I called the customer service number, I was consistently transferred as well as disconnected over the past 5 business days.

I was told a variation of wrong information, that it was an ‘authorization fee’ that will drop & refund itself in 3-5 business days.

I was told that I would be refunded in 48 hrs. I was told to go into the store & speak to the store manager & have them refund it personally for me.

Yet I am tragically dissatisfied with the service I am receiving. I spend thousands of dollars at Best Buy & am receiving the most abhorent customer service ever in my life.

All I want is the $49.99 refunded back to my checking account that should’ve never been charged in the first place. I showed Geek Squad my receipt when they came to my home 4/17 & still got charged.


I am livid with Best Buy & I will never purchase another device from Best Buy again. I’m still trying to get my money back & today is the 6th day of this debacle. 


I am livid & exhausted from this whole debacle. I just want my money back!

I'm grateful you took the time to share with us your experience and I'm sorry that you've endured what appears to be a double charge.  You bet I'd like to take a look at this charge to make sure it's processing as it should, but I'll also recommend some advice too!  

If you haven't already reached out to Chase to better understand when this refund would post, I'd recommend doing this for a more exact time frame.  If you've already done this, I'd be happy to see when the refund was processed so that we can keep an eye on this refund also!  For me to have this opportunity I'll just need to confirm your full name, phone number, and email address.
