Hi, today is 12/29/2018 and I have the VERY same issue.  I have spent 3 hours on the phone yesterday with Verizon Tech Support, Sales, Fraud Depts, etc.   and Verizon assures me that this issue IS BESTBUYS ISSUE!!!!

I then got on the phone with Bestbuy Tech Support (Geek Squad, Sales, Mobile Support Dept,  = They did nothing to help me.  ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!

 

This is rediculus that Bestbuy can not figure this issue out!!!!

 

Get it FIXED already.....   Its very frustrating to me and ALL your customers!!!!!

 

This will cost me $300.00 MORE if I buy the phone from Verizon.  PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!!!

Hello and welcome, bcjm62,

 

To me, upgrading your phone is one of the most exciting things as far as technology goes.  Each year, it seems more incredible devices are released that are packed with astounding features.  I'd be pretty bummed if I wasn't able to upgrade my phone as intended.

 

If you haven't already, I'd recommend reviewing your account to ensure your contact information is up to date, and that no balance remains on your previous bills.  Beyond that point, I would encourage you to visit your local Best Buy store and speak with a Mobile specialist who should be able to review your Verizon account in-person and possibly contact Verizon on your behalf to determine what issue(s) may be underlying here.

That's arbritrary public accommodations discrimination Sam.since you advertise this offer being available online we should be able to take advantage of it online. There is no good reason why any subscriber should be restricted in this manner from taking advantage of sales that are publicly advertised . This is a common problem that doesn't seem to have any resolution as of yet and it will continue being a problem every time we upgrade if you guys just keep sending us to the store.

I’m not entirely sure to which offer you’re referring, but almost all of our sales and promotions are available both in-store and on BestBuy.com unless otherwise noted.  However, there are isolated instances in which we need to manually verify certain pieces of information prior to completing a purchase or sale.  In those cases, it may be necessary to visit a Best Buy store in-person for further assistance.

 

I realize this may create an inconvenience for you, and for that, I truly apologize.  Please know I’m grateful you shared your feedback with us today.

Then why not say that in the error message we get? This is what we are currently getting for the error (pointing the finger at Verizon):

The answer is to buy the phone somewhere else and RID yourself with the Bestbuy HEADACHES!  Today, I can get the same phone @Samsung for the same price.  = DONE DEAL!

Yeah, im going through Verizon they have a buy one get one 800$ off so best buy lost my business on this sale. No one online or in store could help me after hours of hassling. I should file a report to BBB but I've wasted enough time.
