Hi, today is 12/29/2018 and I have the VERY same issue. I have spent 3 hours on the phone yesterday with Verizon Tech Support, Sales, Fraud Depts, etc. and Verizon assures me that this issue IS BESTBUYS ISSUE!!!!
I then got on the phone with Bestbuy Tech Support (Geek Squad, Sales, Mobile Support Dept, = They did nothing to help me. ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!!!!
This is rediculus that Bestbuy can not figure this issue out!!!!
Get it FIXED already..... Its very frustrating to me and ALL your customers!!!!!
This will cost me $300.00 MORE if I buy the phone from Verizon. PLEASE FIX THIS ISSUE!!!

To me, upgrading your phone is one of the most exciting things as far as technology goes. Each year, it seems more incredible devices are released that are packed with astounding features. I'd be pretty bummed if I wasn't able to upgrade my phone as intended.
If you haven't already, I'd recommend reviewing your account to ensure your contact information is up to date, and that no balance remains on your previous bills. Beyond that point, I would encourage you to visit your local Best Buy store and speak with a Mobile specialist who should be able to review your Verizon account in-person and possibly contact Verizon on your behalf to determine what issue(s) may be underlying here.

I’m not entirely sure to which offer you’re referring, but almost all of our sales and promotions are available both in-store and on BestBuy.com unless otherwise noted. However, there are isolated instances in which we need to manually verify certain pieces of information prior to completing a purchase or sale. In those cases, it may be necessary to visit a Best Buy store in-person for further assistance.

The answer is to buy the phone somewhere else and RID yourself with the Bestbuy HEADACHES! Today, I can get the same phone @Samsung for the same price. = DONE DEAL!
