Sorry about that. I received a Sharp RokuTV 50”for Xmas as a gift I do not want a Roku tv as I don’t use streaming services and from looking at a demo in the store I would not use it. The purchase date was 12/17/18. My son who bought it said NO informed him of the short return date. Today in 2/11/19,TVs last day that Elite plus can return I went to store and spoke with CS return ngr, on phone with corporate CS and NO one would help. I explained I really wanted to buy a larger 4kuhd set. They did not care. Flat refusals. Worst CS ever. I am looking to ret this I used,unwaotv and purchase a new one. HELP. There are obviously exceptions to your 15 day policy as you easily extend them for certain people. I am asking to be able to upgrade this purchase as I had NO idea of your policy.

I’m sorry to hear you’re not in need of a gift you received around Christmas.  I’m hoping I’m able to provide you with the information about our Return and Exchange Promise.

 

Almost every purchase made throughout November and December can be returned through January 12, 2019. Purchases made between October 28 and December 28, 2018, have an extended return period through January 12, 2019, excluding cell phones, devices that can be activated and AppleCare monthly plans. All other terms and conditions of our Return & Exchange Promise apply.

 

If the purchaser of the TV is an Elite Plus member, please return to the store ASAP, with the purchase receipt.  I would be happy to help whoever purchased the TV, but our Privacy Policy would not allow us to release any information to anyone except the person who paid for the item.

Are you kidding me. EVERYONE that I have spoken or written to recites the same company gasped about returns. I KNOW THIs!!. I am asking for help. It is technically MY tv as I got it as a gift. Why should the purchaser be invoked?

This medium, the Best Buy forums, I'd be unable to work with anyone who was not the purchaser of the item.  Knowing the Return and Exchange Promise has lapsed for all members, there would be no exceptions made to our Extended Holiday Return period.  I do apologize I don't have the response you were looking for.
