I tried to price match a Ring Door Bell Pro on Costco's online price but Bestbuy chat agent refused, stating membership pricing exclusion, even though there are Costco is a local competitor of Bestbuy in my area. In fact, the chat agent did not even inquire about my zip code, they flatly refuse to price match Costco, which is in contradiction to your post. What gives?

Thanks for joining us here on the forum. My mom has been looking at getting a Ring Doorbell for quite some time, and I'm admittedly getting a bit antsy for her to make the jump and buy it so I can play with it! Like you, I'm constantly on the hunt for the best price possible whenever I go shopping, so I'm sure I would've felt the same disappointment you describe if my request for a price match was turned down. I hope I'm able to clarify the situation for you.
Our chat agents are unable to log into your Costco account to verify member-only prices. Additionally, our Price Match Guarantee lists a few requirements in order for a request to be considered valid, one of which states that a competitor's price must be available to everyone:
Our Price Match Guarantee covers new items (excludes clearance and open-box items). One price match per identical item, per customer, at the current pre-tax price available to all customers is allowed.
I apologize if this was not properly explained to you during your chat session and certainly regret any inconvenience to you. Please know I'm grateful you wrote to us with your concerns.
