Re: Fraud

No, Best Buy only does sales through their website or over the phone with the customer calling them. Best Buy does not solicit sales through WhatsApp. Moreover, Best Buy does not do business in India. This is a known scam.

Re: Fraud

Welcome to the Best Buy forums, PriyanshuSingh,

As our Super User, @geishafish, was mentioning, and I’m wishing to confirm.  We do not conduct business via apps such as WhatsApp, or via online marketplaces like Anyone who claims to be acting on our behalf while communicating through such an app is indeed an impostor, regardless of any purported proof. Providing fake documentation such as badges, letterheads, certificates of guarantee, photos of products, etc. is a common tactic used by scammers. Best Buy is in no way affiliated with these people, so please be cautious going forward. I would recommend contacting your local authorities if this person reaches out to you again for purchases outside Best Buy.

I’ll be here if you have any questions that I could assist you with!
