I am sharing my recent experience with BB Citi Credit card along similar topic.
As I forgot the passowrd, tried to reset my password online however it did not work. So, I called 1-888-574-1301 / 1-888-738-4264 and it's so surprise to find that BB suuport team is not able to reset my password and instead they were telling that someone will call or send me postal mail. When i asked which number or mail address BB will use then the answer is "We can not tell you the details". I know the hardware belongs to you but it's my info and BB team can not verify with me???. Even I requested the rep that they can go ahead and delete the BB credit card online account and then I can re-register the card again with a new password and unfortunately no help from BB.
What a service in this 2022 digital age? Online screen does not allow customer to login and/or reset the password AND customer service can not also reset the password. So, what's the purpose of giving option to customer to register the card online?? plus just to change my password I had to spent so many hours? I have so many other credit cards and this BB experience is so horrible. Net/Net, till today I am left without any option as I can not change the password and so, can not access the BB credit card online account.

Please know that because your Best Buy Credit Card account is maintained by Citibank, and as such, we’d be unable to assist with getting your password reset with them. As such, I recommend continuing to explore what support options Citibank has at 1-888-574-1301, or online here.
