I was just lied to about the same thing at the Mountain View, CA store. The cashier Michelle pushed the store card on me saying it was a "soft pull" not a "hard pull". Got a message from Experian that I had a new "hard pull" on my credit report! This affects my credit score! I was lied to by your employee and now my credit score will go down. What are you going to do to resolve this?

The moderators should be able to take down your concerns and send it back to the store to ensure their employees are providing accurate information.
FYI - Any sort of credit pre-approval and many credit report services are provided using a "soft pull" If you apply, on paper or electronically, for credit this is almost ALWAYS a hard pull. Even companies that try to pre-approve you using a "soft pull" end up becoming a "hard pull" the moment you accept and the line of credit is opened.

Funny, that's not what your employee told me

Also, this reads like you think I was stupid not to know your employee was lying to me. So thanks for that
