Promo Code Invalid

A little backstory, earlier in February I purchased a new CyberPowerPC and as a reward I got $10 in a Best Buy giftcard. I wanted to use it last night however it kept telling me that the promo code was invalid. Nowhere on the giftcard does it say an expiration date and I want to use it before my other one expires (4/25).

I searched a bit through the forums and tried clearing cache, logging out, checking out without an account, nothing worked, same message still appeared. I feel a bit jipped now.

Thank you for any assistance.

Re: Promo Code Invalid

Hi, SanHolo,

Welcome and thanks for taking the time to reach out to us here on the Best Buy forum. What you describe with your gift card not working is certainly strange. I know I would want to use any gift card I received with a purchase, so I’d love to speak with you about this in greater detail to see what may be possible going forward.

To begin, can you please clarify a little bit? When you say you have a promotional gift card, is this an e-gift card or a physical gift card? If an e-gift card, it’s my understanding that there is a process to receive a card where a customer must confirm their email address before the e-gift card can be provided. Did you go through such a process? To review further, I will also need your full name, phone number, email address, your gift card number (do NOT include any PIN numbers), and the order number from the purchase where you received the gift card. Keep your information secure by using the forum private message option. When logged in on a PC, there should be a blue “Private Message” button in my signature below this post.

Thank you,
