Problems picking up online order

I ordered an item online for pickup at a Best Buy warehouse. I received an email it was ready for pickup. When I arrived the Best Buy associates said they didn’t have any in stock and instructed me to call customer service. Called customer service and they insisted I go back to pickup item even after explained what happened. I had the rep ship the item instead. This whole experience was horrible and took me 2 hours to resolve from 30 minute round trip to warehouse to being on hold with customer service, and finally the challenges dealing with the customer service rep. I am a Best Buy elite member and I am seriously thinking of avoiding Best Buy in the future. They need to win back my loyalty.

Best Buy warehouse? This is a new one to me. Did you mean a Best Buy store?
