Price not matched within return period

Hello,
 

I bought the FC-30 Food cycler from you on Aug 2, 2020. Now, within my return period, the price has reduced to $229 from my cost price $299.  See https://www.bestbuy.com/site/vitamix-84-5-oz-foodcycler-indoor-food-recycler-kitchen-compost-contain...

Your agent said you cannot price match because the item is currently not available in the store. Your special consideration page says you will price match if it within the return period. My agent said I should wait for it to become available everyday to request the price match. My options are to do that one. Also, I could turn it in, wait for it to become available and buy it/ someone else buy it at a lesser price because you have to inspect it and it is an open box item.

I think it is only fair to give me a price match within my return period irrespective of the store availability. Your agent said it is your process and it would be declined. Why can you not improve your process to make it fair?

Welcome to our community forums. I appreciate you taking the time to let us know about your experience with our Price Match Guarantee. I'd be happy to take a closer look into this to see how I may be able to help. 

 

As the previous agent mentioned, we are only able to price match a product if it's immediately available. We are unable to process a price match for a product that is out of stock at Best Buy or another retailer. After taking a look at this link, I do see that this product is no longer available so it does sound like you were provided the correct information.
