I went in store today to request a price match on an item. The associate was very friendly, but said he'd have to ask the manager if it was ok because it was a really extreme difference in price. The manager said he would not do it because of the extreme price difference. Granted, I do understand it was a huge difference in price, but I do not see anywhere in the terms of the price match gaurantee that a match won't be honored for this reason. Therefore, I feel like the price match should have been honored.
My suggestion is that if this is something stores won't match for, it should be added to the terms. Otherwise, it's just a manger saying they won't do it because they don't want to.

To my knowledge, the amount of a price match would not be a reason for it to be denied. Can you please clarify which store location you visited and when? Do you remember the name of the manager you spoke to? What was the product and what retailer was selling this product?
