Hey Best Buy, I've got a question about a post purchase price match. I purchased an item last week. This week it went on sale, so I reached out to get a price match. Normally, these are pretty easy, same item, lower price....we'll credit you. But this time I was told they wouldn't match it because it is now out of stock on Best Buy's website.
I know I've had things matched even though they were out of stock in the past (and I know you won't match if a competitor doesn't have it in stock), but this is your own website. Is that something new? I know I can go to the store and do a return/rebuy...but I'd rather not if I can help it.
I don't see anything that really mentions it needing to be in stock at Best Buy's site in the terms either. Could you let me know if that's something new?
Thanks for your help!

Thank you for joining our online community and posting for support. I love getting the best deal on products as well, so I'm glad to hear you've been able to take advantage of our Price Match Guarantee in the past. I can understand wanting to follow up on this situation now with a recent purchase, and I'm happy to shed some light on our policy terms.
On our FAQ page, the sixth bullet point under "Our Price Match Guarantee does not cover" mentions how out of stock items are not included. If you have any additional questions or concerns please let us know!
Hope this helps,

Thanks Allison-BBY, I'll just take it back to the store and return and rebuy it. Seems like a very suspect consideration when it comes to price matching your own store. But I guess it is what it is and my inconvenience doesn't really matter. lol
