Poor Price match policy

I have been a long time customer and have to say I am extremely disappointed with their return policy and price match policy, never mind their customer service. Most companies honor a return or price match within 30 days, but unfortunately Best Buy seems to be afraid to stick behind their products after 2 weeks. I recently purchased an item and a mere 28 days later realized the item was already marked down 20%. I spoke with a customer service representative who informed me that there is a 15 day return policy, which was not made aware during the time of purchase. Unfortunately, Best Buy would not honor a return of the item and would not even match the price on their own website. I will not be purchasing items from Best Buy in the future. I will be purchasing from retailers with much more reasonable policies.

Welcome to our forums, and thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.  We’re hopeful all our customers will have a positive experience when utilizing our Price Match Guarantee, and I regret to hear you’ve been unable to take advantage of such a great program.

 

As it sounds like you’re aware, our Return & Exchange Promise allows our customers to return most products within 15 days of their original purchase, with 30 and 45 days offered to our My Best Buy Elite and Elite Plus customers.  This information is listed at the bottom of each receipt provided to our customers, listed at each of our stores, and available anytime here.  We’ll be unable to offer any price matches for purchases that are no longer within their return/exchange period, and I apologize for any disappointment this news may bring.  If you have any other questions regarding our Price Match Guarantee, you can find more information here.

 

Although it sounds like this experience has led you to question your future with Best Buy, I do hope you’ll consider us again for your future technology purchases.
