Payments gone bad.

I had made a payment to pay off my balance ( approx 2000.00 ) that went over the limit because if late fees. Well, bank account that was used didn't have enough funds and the payment was rejected. Looks like Citibank charged me for that. Well another pay off payment was made to make good in payoff the entire balance. Unfortunately that pymt went bad as well because that pymt was rejected. And I'm having to pay a much higher balance because of that bad payment. It seems I'm being charged for the bad pymts on top of the purchases made within my credit limit. Has anyone experience Citi Bank charging the dollar amount of the bad payment ? Because of the two bad pymts.....my balance to pay off is around 5,000.00. Please keep in mind my purchases were within my credit limit. The dollars after that reached up to 5000.00 looks like Citibank charging me for making bad pymts. Has anyone experienced this ?

Probably pending transactions. They should get cleared in a day or two, but if not, the best thing to do is just call them directly.
