PLEASE HELP.... Purchase Sony camera at Costa Mesa location and found prior model in the box....

hello to the forum and thank you for existing as I have had so many issues trying to get a hold of somebody that even cares to help me out at Best Buy....    I have had a horrible experience since I made this purchase on Friday July 13, 2018.  

 

I have also posted a YouTube video of myself explaining exactly what happened and what I have been doing in the mean time to try and resolve this matter.

I purchased a Brand new Sony Rx100 Mark VI      In the box was a Mark V -   I instantly went back to Best Buy to return this or exchange it for the camera I paid for....    20 minutes of dealing with all employees in customer service and all of the managers they only would tell me.. .  'i am not going to return this product because the serial number on the camera differs from the serial numberr on the box'   

 

PLEASE HELP....    Who at Best Buy can look into this further?   I have serial numbers for the wrong camera that was in the box... and for the box itself which should have contained a Mark VI

There is a bit of a delay from corporate responses over the last week - but generally it can take a few days to get a response from one of the corporate representatives. The forums work on a first come, first serve basis so sit tight and someone will be with you as soon as they are able!
I am not a forum moderator nor voice of corporate. One of the corporate moderators will be with you as soon as they can for the official response from Best Buy. The forums work on a first come, first serve basis and it can take a while for a response.

Thank you for the reply....  I will await their response.   I am stuck with this camera I do not want and my local best buy just keeps telling me they won't do anything.   OVER $1,300 dollars gone and not mind anymore.... and here I am with a camera I did not even purchase or want.
