Most effective way to contact corporate regarding serious issue

Posting here puts you in contact with corporate, the moderators handle issues from the corporate office. If you wish to keep the details private you will be provided with details on how to do that when they reach your post in the queue and respond. Due to the pandemic, the time until they will be able to respond has increased.

Thank you for the reply. I returned a DVD player, and was given a gift card instead of a refund to the original payment method. The manager said that a processing error couldn't be undone by him, and dropped the gift card on the seat of my car. He suggested that I call to follow up. I did, and someone said they would be able to resolve the issue, and that I should wait for an email confirmation. Then yesterday I received the following email from Customer Service:

 

It appears that the refund through Gift Card has been cancelled per request. However, we do not have any option to process another refund directly to your credit card. That said, we have requested to have the Gift Card reissued for the amount of $164.99 to be mailed to your mailing address.

So essentially, in calling to resolve the difficulty of being erroneously given a gift card instead of a refund, I am being mailed ANOTHER gift card after the first gift card that I also didn't want or need, was canceled. Suffice it to say, I am quite surprised that this is as difficult as it has become.
