Lost my giftcard

hello, I posted about this earlier but didnt really get far. I lost my best buy giftcard and it still had somewhere around $40 on it. If you check my purchase history you will see I purchased a cuisinart griddler - I believe it was this one or similar (was about 2.5 years ago) https://www.bestbuy.com/site/cuisinart-griddler-stainless-steel-4-in-1-grill-griddle-and-panini-pres...

The product ended up failing on me and wouldnt turn on so the store exchanged it for store credit for me on a gift card. I can visit my local best buy to get the receipt code if needed that the gift card is on but i believe the transactions are linked to my account. I did use the gift card for a few items but lost it with a balance still on it.

Any help is appreciated, thank you.

Re: Lost my giftcard

Good afternoon, Eastanin,

Welcome to our forums, and thank you for connecting with us for assistance.  I’ve lost a few gift cards myself over the years, and tracking them down can prove to be quite an ordeal.  Lucky for you, you’ve found the right place for help, and I’ll be more than happy to see what I can do to locate your missing gift card.

As outlined in our Gift Card Terms and Conditions Help Center article, we’ll be able to replace lost gift cards to the extent of the remaining card balance, with valid proof of purchase.  For me to locate your proof of purchase, I’ll need to gather a few pieces of additional information from you.  Most of this information is sensitive, so we’ll want to keep it out of the public view of our forums, which is why I’ll be sending you a private message to gather the information I’ll need.  To read my message, you’ll want to be logged into your Support Forum account, and click on the orange envelope in the upper right-hand corner of your screen.
