Lost in-store credit card

I received in-store credit for the return of a product.

It seems I have misplaced the card, and am unable to find it.

I do however have the receipt for the product which was returned as well as the card number.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Did you mean Gift card or the Best Buy Credit Card?


In Store Credit is like a GC. The BBY CC is different. Please clarify.

Welcome to our forums!  I can’t tell you how many gift cards or store credit I’ve misplaced over the past few years, and it’s always a frustrating experience when it happens.  But I have plenty of time to lament my lost cards another time—let’s see what we can do to track down your lost store credit!


I’ll need a few pieces of additional information from you to begin my research, including your personal information, and proof of purchase.  As you can imagine, this information I’ll need is private and we’ll want to keep it out of the public view of our Support Forums, so if you could use the blue “Private Message” button in my signature to send me:


  • Your first and last name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • The “Customer Service PIN” from the bottom of your receipt where you receive this store credit


As mentioned, be sure to use the blue “Private Message” button in my signature to send me this information, and if you’re accessing our site on a mobile device, you may need to switch to “Full” or “Desktop” view before this button is visible to you.
