Lost a paper printed Giftcard

I received a $175 giftcard from the Trade-In I did with my old Macbook Air. I did two other Trade-In on the same day for recycling (receive no giftcard for this). I received a paper copy of a giftcard - not a plastic one.

But I lost it probably during the car cleaning.

I went to the store but they said it is weird that there is NO way to print them again or see the number/PIN on their system.

I do have the history on my Best Buy account (with order# and the value amount). Strangely, after the Trade-In, I received a email for the two Trade-In I recycled and received nothing, but no email for the $175 one. Not sure if the worker made a mistake.

Is there any way I can get the giftcard back? I really wish to get the value what my old Mac deserve and use it for a new purchase. Please help!!

Re: Lost a paper printed Giftcard

Hello, HannaLee,

We appreciate you joining our online community! The Best Buy Forums is a great place to come when you have questions, want to learn about new tech, and to interact with the other members and moderators. We are always happy to help however we can, and I am glad you’ve connected with us regarding the missing gift card.

When old electronics start piling up, the Trade-In Program is a great option, and it sounds like you should have received a $175 Best Buy gift card when you brought your MacBook Air in. Although I would not be able to commit to a specific outcome, our team would have the resources to look further into this with you. Your private message with the required details was recently received. Please keep an eye on your inbox, as we will be replying there to continue working on this with you shortly.
