Lost In-Store Credit Card

Hello and good morning. I recently made a return for an item that wasn’t in stock, so Best Buy gave me a physical in store credit card to come back and get it whenever the item is in stock again. The problem is I lost the card. I never used the card or bothered to look at the 16 digit card number, so I don’t know anything about it, but I do have a receipt proving that it’s mine. I tried calling support to help me out but they said I needed to know the 16 digit card number. Is there anyway I can get a replacement card? Really hope it’s possible because there was quite a lot on the card. Thank you for your help!

Ouch, Gift Cards and Store Credits should be treated like cash and kept secure.  They moderators here might be able to assist with getting the full card number, but they can only reissue the card for whatever the current balance is.  If someone picked it up and used the credit, there may be no way to reissue.  Currently, you should expect a reply in approximately 5-6 days as the moderators are assisting the customers who posted ahead of you.

Thank you for your response! Hopefully they can help! I tried reaching out to customer service by phone but they just kept on transferring me to different departments and it got to a point where I didn’t know who I was even talking to! I remember them saying that the card wasn’t linked to my account or something among those lines so that was what was hindering them from continuing.

Welcome to our community forums. I know I've lost a gift card or two over the years, I would be glad to see how I may be able to help you with this. 

 

As jdogg836 mentioned, we are only able to reissue the current balance on a gift card or store credit. With that said, I'd like to take a closer look into this. To begin looking for this store credit I will need some more details. Can you please send me a private message that includes your:
