Just bought open box Macbook Pro and touch bar is glitching

I purchased a Macbook Pro from a semi local best buy (still several hours away) and from the onset the right side of the touch bar had a solid white light right next to the touch ID. I looked this up online and this was confirmed as an issue several people had and they needed the whole touch bar replaced. I called up Apple and they said they had no record of the purchase and so there was nothing they could do. It was supposed to be in excelent condition and otherwise it is. I just want to figure out how to fix the issue and I don't want to pay for it to be repaired considering I just purchased it but I would also rather not return it fully. When I called Best Buy they said just come in and I explained that I was several hours away and would not be able to make it all that way. They were unsure what to do from there besides return the computer fully. What would be my best option from here?

I can imagine you'd want to fix this touch bar issue with your Macbook Pro as soon possible, and I'm sorry to hear you've run into issues on how to proceed with this. I can understand not wanting to drive hours away to the store you purchased this from to have our Geek Squad take a look at it, and luckily there are a few options available moving forward.
