International student - applying for tax exempt quick card

Hello,

I'm an international student. I'm planning to apply for a tax exemption quick card.

I started studying in USA from August 2018. I'm eligible for tax exemption as per the IRS website. However, I don't possess USA tax statement for the financial year 2017. Are there other documents (such as i20) that can by shown as proof while applying for the tax exempt quick card?

Thanks and Regards,
Naveen

Re: International student - applying for tax exempt quick card

Hello SNaveenMathew,

Welcome to the forums!

I appreciate you taking the time to reach out to us. Here is the information we have on our website about the Best Buy Tax-Exempt Quick Card:

How do I apply for a Tax-Exempt Quick Card?

  • Print and mail in this Registration Form, along with a copy of your tax exemption certificate. Allow 10 to 15 business days to receive your card.
  • Or apply in a Best Buy store, and receive your card instantly.

I don’t see where you need anything else for it other than information mentioned above. You an also get more information here. Let me know if you have any other questions.
