I purchased a 50" Insignia Fire TV last month, along with a 3 year extended warranty. The remote control has stopped working. I contacted Best Buy, who refused to assist me in any way. (Even though Best Buy is the parent company of Insignia.) I requested a replacement remote, and stated that I would return the non-functioning remote. They refused. I reminded them that I had purchased the extended warranty. They still refused, stating that I am not entitled to a replacement remote. The TV will not fully function without the remote. If I do not receive a resolution to this issue by tomorrow at COB, I will return the TV for a full refund, and then go to Conns to purchase another one. This is ridiculous, and the worst customer service I have ever experienced.

Welcome to our community. You and I are in full agreement that a TV is much harder to operate without a remote control, and as you stated, you undoubtedly lose the ability to use certain features (or at least easily access them) as well. I was unhappy to hear you have encountered such difficulties obtaining a replacement remote for your Insignia™ television. If you’re still searching for assistance, hopefully the steps below will work for you.
First, please ensure that the IR sensor on your TV is clean and unobstructed. Next, to ensure that the remote control is not faulty, try removing the batteries from your remote, press all of its buttons, and install fresh batteries. This will typically solve most remote control issues.
If the issue persists, I would recommend that you contact Insignia™ Support at (877) 467-4289 for further assistance.
I hope this helps. Thank you for writing to us.
