Welcome to our community, although I truly wish it had been under happier circumstances. There is really nothing so upsetting as discovering that your personal and private information has been compromised. I've had it happen too not awfully long ago and it was a truly unpleasant experience involving much effort to correct. I regret that you are now having to cope with such a circumstance yourself.
In contacting your local authorities and filing a police report, you've taken the best action possible. Best Buy should cooperate with them in their investigation when they contact us. Further action I would recommend you take would be to ensure none of your accounts are affected and if they have been, contact your banks or financial institutions as soon as possible.
