I mistakenly purchased a product key for Office 365 Business Standard. I have not used the product key and would like to return it. Best buy phone support (after 4 transfers and 30 minutes on the phone) told me that they can't do it. However, the product was purchased by mistake and I don't need it or want it.
I've read elsewhere in this forum that the phone support is mistaken in this case. Can you help me?

Hello, xspeedskater!
Thanks for joining our online community and posting for support. I know I have also made purchases in the past that didn't quite fit my needs, so I can understand wanting to look into options returning your product key. I'm happy to shed some light on this situation.
Our Return and Exchange Policy explains that return and refund details on services and subscriptions, including anti-virus software and Microsoft 365, are found in their terms and conditions. Microsoft Office can be returned within 30 days for a full refund. That said, are you able to visit your local store to return this unused product key?

Thanks Allison; I purchased it online, it was a digital download (SKU #6402558). I was told (apparently incorrectly) that I couldn't return it because it was a digital download.
Is there a way to return it without visiting a store?
