I was lied by the seller and now I need to rectify this almost a year later!

I bought a Cyberpower PC on 2019 which I specifically asked for certain features on of them USB 3.0 Port. The seller told me it was included on my PC hence there are TWO blue USB ports which apparently are those type of usb's I trusted the seller and bought the PC. On this last week I bought an elgato HD60S Capture card and to my infuriating surprise my PC doesn't have the 3.0 USB's port. It's a LIE! I need someone to ease help rectify this where can I write or talk to someone that either gives me the usb ports or do something to fix this I spent almost $200 for the capture card and its supposed to work on my PC . Please I need help! Someone point me in the right direction or help me get someone to help... I am losing my mind seriously with this...

Re: I was lied by the seller and now I need to rectify this almost a year later!

More details on the computer please, what is the model? Some
Companies vary the color of these ports on occasion, but it’s mostly the front to make it “blend in” better by coloring them black. The mostly standard colors were the old pc off-white color for USB1 and 1.1, black for USB2, blue for USB3, yellow for always on power (great for charging a phone or tablet when the computer is off).

I’m almost wondering if there is something wrong with the usb card, or a driver issue causing the port to negotiate a USB2.0 link.
I am a Best Buy Employee, but the views that I post are my own and not that of Best Buy.

The computer is a Cyberpower GUA 1600BST AMD Edition, It has an AMD 6300 CPU and it has 2 frontal USB ports Blue. I have tried downloading the drivers to see if it's that but its not I checked on my device to see if there is a USB 3.0 on the system on the system devices and no 3.0 USB is present Smiley Sad

Hello, Alvajay, and welcome to our online community!

Re: I was lied by the seller and now I need to rectify this almost a year later!

No, Cyberpower PC service told me politely that they dont advertise a 3.0 USB on the PC and told me to buy a USB card, I followed their advice and also Best Buy advice to do so and now my computer is not working anymore. I am really disappointed and heartbroken now I can't use my PC to work. I trusted everyone since I am not a computer expert and followed their advice only to find I was lied and just sold an outdated PC that's useless now... Is there any one that can help me to get it fixed or something? I have never felt so stupid as I feel right now spending the little money I had on something thats useless Smiley Sad

Re: I was lied by the seller and now I need to rectify this almost a year later!

Alvajay,

I hate to hear you've run into this kind of issue with your PC. We never want our customers to be left feeling the way you do, either. That being said, I recommend reaching out to CyberPowerPC directly. The options available to contact them can be found here. They would be best able to answer your questions and assist you with the items you purchased.

All the best,

I already talked to them... Their customer service is (sorry for the word) pure trash. They don't care about my situation and they just won't do anything about it
