I need to return a defective item

i need to return a defective item.. best buy only gives a few days to return but i need extra time. I thought i would have 30 days to return this defective item (as is the policy in 99% of stores) but best buy gives less days than most stores for this and they don't tell you. So i found out about this today. I need an extra few days in order to return this defective item. How can we fix this? I paid a large amount for something that doesn’t work correctly and I want my money back. I called everyone and the people on the phone can't even contact the store. I am going to the store today and i need to return this defective item to get my money back. Please.

Thanks for reaching out to us on Best Buy Forums. I can certainly understand the feeling when you discover an item you purchased is defective. As long as you are within our Return & Exchange Promise, which you are able to view here, you would be able to return or exchange the item in-store. If you are past the return timeframe, you may need to work with the manufacturer of the product to see about replacing the item for one that works properly. Most of the products we sell do come with a limited one year manufacturer warranty.
