Hi, I need help getting $100 Steam Gift Cards activated. We recently ordered them from bestbuy.com, but they won't work when trying to redeem them on Steam. (we have ensured the code is entered correctly on both)

Hi, I purchased two $100 Steam gift cards from your website. They arrived inactivated. Steam told me you need to activate them as the retailer. I already tried getting customer service from your website chat and the phone system, but they couldn’t get these activated and said to do it here. Thank you!

Welcome to our forums!  I imagine an inactive Steam gift card won’t get you very far in your gaming experience, so it’s disappointing to hear the cards you received don’t appear to be working as expected.  With that said, you’ve certainly come to the right place for help, and I’ll be happy to take a closer look!

 

For me to review your order further, I’m hoping you can provide me with a few pieces of additional information via private message.  Most of the information I’ll need is sensitive information we’ll want to keep out of the public view of our forums, so if you could use the blue “Private Message” button in my signature to send me:

 

  • Your first and last name
  • Your phone number
  • Your email address
  • Your order number
  • Your Steam card number(s)
