Gift card zero balance now

I have a gift card that I never used and tonight I tried to use it and it is showing a zero balance.

I'm disheartened to hear about what happened to your gift card, as I can understand the concern and confusion this would cause seeing that the expected balance wasn't there. Well, this was useless. After I spent numerous times in chat and then had the original purchaser call, spending a considerable amount of time on a call, I am still out a gift card. Thankfully though, the thief who fraudulently used the number WAS able to complete their purchase of an Apple watch online using several more gift cards many months before I tried to use my Xmas gift this month.

Thanks for nothing BB, I will make sure no one buys me another BB gift card so they won't be out any more money.

I'm sad to hear about that update, banspy. I can understand how those circumstances have left you feeling, as this is a far cry from the experience we'd want any of our members to go through. Regrettably, as outlined within our Best Buy Gift Cards Terms and Conditions, lost, stolen or damaged cards can be replaced only with valid proof of purchase to extent of remaining card balance. In the future, I would suggest opting for a Best Buy e-Gift Card, as they can be sent directly to a recipient's email inbox with a personal message. These virtual gift cards can be used at BestBuy.com, allowing your recipient to start shopping right away.
