Gift Card rip off

While reviewing your issue in further detail I can see that your gift card was refunded on 12/23, and a request to send you replacement e-gift card was made on 1/3. There’s no updates yet to your replacement e-gift card. I’ve sent an email to support teams to get an update for you! No, I didnt resolution.  The purchase was made on almost a month ago and I'm without security cameras for my house and my money.  I can move money into my clients accounts in hours and it takes best buy a month?  No more excuses and outdated policies.  I have received a different answer from everyone at best buy from its 24-48 hours and will be sent in an email.  Check your spam so you dont miss it to....the checks in the mail.  I mail letters daily and it takes 1-3 days at the most.  Really hope i get a check so i can take my business elsewhere.  Costco.  i walk in with a refund and get my money back right on the spot and no questions.

Thank you so much for following up with me! I’m sorry if my original message caused any confusion. I’d be happy to clarify a few things for you. Your gift card was refunded on 12/23, and I’ve sent you the receipt of you return to keep a copy of it for your records via email.

 

As I shared prior I escalated your replacement request for your gift card as the case created with the original hasn’t been worked yet. Due the holiday season our gift card team can get behind their normal 96 hour turnaround time. I sincerely apologize if our support teams until this point haven’t been clearly communicating with you. I’d be happy to follow-up with you once I have a confirmation from our gift card team that your replacement request has been worked.

I still don't understand.  96 hours from when ....12/23?  The items i wanted to purchase from bb are no longer on sale and now i'm out my money and not able to protect my family and belongings because of a missing refund from a retuned alarm system.  I lose on every front with bb.  i followed the recommendation to use vivint and now i lose.  I get an extended warranty and i lose.  no getting satisfaction with bb.

There was some miscommunication as your initial replacement request was made prior to your gift card having a value. It was closed since our Gift Card Terms state the gift card must have a balance for it to be reissued. That initial request was closed on 12/22, and wasn’t re-opened until 1/3. As I stated prior I’d be happy to follow-up with you once I receive a confirmation that your replacement request has been fulfilled, and I appreciate your continued patience in the meantime.

Best Buy provided the gift card after a period of time and with the help of the bb support team they came thru with a resolution.  While the process was not to my satisfaction the case can now be closed.  Thank you
