So, for years i have made purchases at best buy. I even spend the extra money on the protection plans. Well a while back. I had called customer service and asked about renewing the protection plan. They told me just to keep a look out for an email that will be sent when the plan is about to expire. So i was cool. The time had came over the weekend. I had been constantly checking my emails and nothing. I call customer support only to find out that they did away with plan renewals. No communication whatsoever about this taking place in February. No email about renewal. I felt like i was just left hanging. It makes me want to take my business elsewhere. It was pretty upsetting. I would tell everybody about the protection plans they offer, and how beneficial they are to the consumer. Now, all of this has dropped best buy down quite a bit in my book. This just might end my business with them.

Why didn't geek squad grandfather the plans before that February date? You could've let those renew to the new plan. Giving an opportunity to purchase the extended plans within the new terms.
