Hello! I would like to report a scam that I fell for under the name of Best Buy Loyalty Rewards Survey. They said I won a PS5 and required a $1 charge to my credit card to verify me. Like an idiot, I tried it but checked my charges a few days later and found a charge for $9.95 to something called Trust Budget in the Czech Republic. I looked up Trust Budget online and found it IS a legit co but it's located in the UK. I tried to 'cancel my subscription', but, of course, there was no account for my email address so I disputed the charge on my credit card and Citi Cards is sending me a new card. I just wanted to let you know about this! The link in the text for the survey and prize is {removed per forum guidelines} and I will be reporting this site to the FTC as well. As I stated, the charge on my card was for {removed per forum guidelines}. That's all the information I have.

Hello! I received an email today from what appears to be a personal gmail account letting me know that Geek Squad Tech Support is auto-renewing my annual subscription for a 12-month maintenence plan. It indicates that I have been charged $143.38 "per our agreement". I haven't seen a charge like this yet, but suspect it might be coming. The phone number listed on the notice is flagged on a couple of different scammer alert websites. Overall, the email looks fairly legit other than they don't use my name (only my email) and they misspelled Center in the last sentence.
I've copied the email below:
Auto Renewal Dear {removed per forum guidelines} Thank you for choosing Geek Squad. your annual subscription is expired and Auto Renewed as per your plan. There is a gmail user disguising their self as best buy and offering a give away for selected users. They are offering a Mac book pro to whomever file out their form.
This email has the header tag as Apple Mac Book Pro and it is from the user {removed per forum guidelines}. If I could post the screenshot of this I would.

First of all thanks for not falling for the scam , from the sounds of it, you know what it was so that's a good thing. A screen shot is not required here.
Best Buy does not participate in promotions where they give away a Mac Book but may participate in special financing promotions which allows a customer to get a product to take home with low monthly payments.
All promotions are on www.bestbuy.com
Anything else is almost and most likely a scam. Seen them, spotted them, clicked on Report Phishing in my email and went about my day.
See here for more information and forward scams which you know of to the email located here:

Hi Best Buy Support:
Today, I received the email below about some sort of one-year subscription. Please confirm that it's a scam and feel free to use any information in it that might help to catch the person or people doing this. It's such a shame that some people fall for these.
Thank you, BeeLol
