Exclusion errors

While i understand that exclusions may be required due to contract agreements with name brand products, I thiink that there should be a better way to display them, both to avoid turning off customers, as well as running the risk of repeating them in the same paragraph.

 

Ex. One recent exclusion list, distributed within the last 3 weeks, had the following repetition:

 

"select Samsung home audio, TVs, Blu-ray and DVD players;"

 

to be followed a few lines later by this exclusion (with no break in the listings of exclusions by paragraph)

 

"Samsung TVs, sound bars and Blu-ray players, "

 

Besdies this repetition (and the obvious joke it brings up, I think it was in very poor taste to include so many in one list. To use another aside," it would have been a shorter list to list the approved items". Especially considering the original purpose of the offer the exclusions were part of.

A more detailed look at the same exclusion list found these other duplicates (paired in the order of their appearance by brand name):

Sony home audio, TVs and 3D glasses, Blu-ray players, DVD players and set top boxes;
Sony TVs, Blu-ray players and projectors,
Sony camcorders, digital cameras, Alpha cameras, NEX cameras;

select LG TVs and Blu-ray players,
LG TVs,

select Sharp TVs;
Sharp TVs,

In effort to provide as many incentives to our customers as possible, we are continuously working with our vendor partners to determine what types of promotions can be presented. There are many circumstances when specific verbiage is required, although I certainly understand where you are coming from when seeing duplications of exclusions.
