Dura VR Drone- manufacturer critical defect!

I was hoping to get a message to Best Buy that they should reconsider stocking the Protocol Dura VR drone.


I received it as a gift from my wife and I was very excited.  On perhaps my 2nd real flight, it decided to fly away on its own.  This is a VERY common experience, judging by comments in the reviews of this item.  I am an experienced flyer and am certain this was not user error.  I am happy to report when it is  Smiley Happy


After two weeks of attempts, no response has been received from Protocol.


I hate to see products like this on the shelves that may leave children extremely disappointed.  One fathers review of a ruined Christmas was very sad to read.


I hope that Best Buy sees this and questions their stocking of this item.

I did look through some of the negative reviews of this drone and it does look like this has happened to a number of other customers. I appreciate your attention here.  I am happy to report that I was a lucky one and managed to recover the flyaway drone and BestBuy is taking care of me, returning the product for a full refund due to manufacturer defect.


Protocol did resond and let me know that "Without being there it is hard to say what caused the communication problem with your drone."  I can't say that this was incredibly helpful.

Thanks again for your reply.  It's great seeing a bestbuy employees on here helping out!
