Doordash deactivated my account after i applied a Gift card bought from bestbuy

As the title says, Doordash cancelled my account a day after i applied a $100 gift card that i had bought from Bestbuy last week. 

 

I opened a case with Doordash and all they had was a canned message saying my account was deactivated because of "Violation of terms". On asking them on what terms i violated, I got the same canned response again.

 

I'm not sure what to do next since my $100 gift card(all unused) is on an account that i can no longer use. I'm at a total loss of $100 i paid for the Giftcard and my doordash account that i used all the time.

It sounds like you filed a support case with Doordash and received an unsatisfactory answer. In this instance I would recommend reaching out to Doordash by phone, and if the line level employees can't answer I would escalate it up the chain from there.  Their number is (855) 973-1040.  Reading over the terms, it seems like the cancelled account would be unrelated to the gift card but there is a lot in there.  I, too, would be seeking clarification on what terms I was responsible for breaking.  

 

Unfortunately, there is nothing Best Buy can do in these situations.  When we sell the gift cards, Best Buy is paid a small percentage and the remainder of the funds are transferred to the service (in this case Doordash) in question.  This is why these items are final sale/non-returnable.  We do not possess the ability to unmake the card once it has been sold.  Since you were able to add the cards to your account, this transaction worked correctly.

Thanks for your reply jdogg836. I did try calling them sometime back and if you have ever spoken to their support, you'd know how useless they are. I didn't get anything more than what i received through the email conversations. I asked multiple times about the terms i have violated and they kept saying "They are not allowed to specify it" which sounds stupid. 

 

I understand Bestbuy has less control over it since the giftcard was working fine and it applied to the account. But is there a way i can reach out to/chargeback the 3rd party vendor(blackhawk?) who supplies these gift cards since its an absolutely used $100 that i no longer have access to for reasons not known to me.

No idea, we would not have any avenues to assist in this instance.
