Current PayPal Refunds

Greetings Everyone-


We know how important it is to receive your refunds in a timely manner and Best Buy certainly strives to hit the goal of processing those refunds as quickly as we can, so you have your PayPal funds back and ready to be used again.


Currently, we have been made aware of a backlog within our PayPal refund processing that is delaying the normal time frame for those refunds.  At this time, we aren’t able to provide a firm time frame for the processing of those refunds, but our support teams are working as quickly as they can to get them completed and back into your accounts. 


We realize that this isn’t ideal and we apologize for any inconvenience that this may cause you.

Yet another person waiting on a PayPal refund

I returned an item to the store on 10/2. Did a chat with Best Buy support on 10/4 since the funds never made it back to PayPal and they said they processed the refund and to check with PayPal. I checked with PayPal and they said they have received nothing back from Best Buy. I then called Best Buy and the woman I spoke with told me it can take 3-5 business days. Today is business day #5 and still no refund.


Of course I know this is just BB giving me the run around since a quick Google search sent me here to see so many others with the same issue. I have never had a problem with a return to PayPal from any other retailer. If someone from support could contact me, I would appreciate it.

I've been waiting for my refund since September 29. Have gone to my local best buy store several times and pretty much tired of the run around already. I'm going again today to speak with a manager that's been trying to help me out. My question is, according to paypal the refund transaction has not been initiated yet from best buy. Can I just go and get the item I returned back and end this already?

Best Buy Will Not Issue Refund To Paypal

I made an online purchase on 9/29/18 to pick up in store. I completed payment through Paypal. I realized it was not what I was looking for so on 10/2/18 I returned item(s) to BestBuy. My order number is {removed per forum guidelines}. I was told it could take 5-7 days to receive a refund we are at 9 days now. Best Buy said they sent funds to PayPal, PayPal says they have received no funds. I had both customer service for each bestbuy and PayPal try to figure it out where they just yelled back and forth, "we sent the funds" and "we have not recieved a refund"... I would appreciate a resolution.
