Credit card issues

My husband was a victim of fraud back in October 2018. He had used his Best Buy credit card. They worked with him and credited his account. Then, on Christmas Day they charged him back. He has contacted them numerous times only to get the same Rude lady over & over. He can’t esculate. He’s request written correspondence. They returned his letters unopened. He’s left disappointed with the credit card company and even Best Buy since they represent you. He’s seeking assistance to have a way to correspond with them so he can get this resolved. He feels that he has been victimized by them as well as the original fraud situation. Please have someone reach Keith at {removed per forum guidelines} to discuss this situation that puts a poor view of their services and your company.

Welcome to the Best Buy Community forums. I’m sorry that your husband is having issues with his My Best Buy credit card. I know how frustrating a fraudulent transaction can be.


For something like this, Keith would need to get in touch with Citibank, the servicer of the My Best Buy credit cards, directly. They can be reached at (888) 574-1301. They’ll be best positioned to assist.


If he cannot reach someone, I invite him to register an account here with us under his name. He can then post his issue, and we can look into ways to assist him. Under our Privacy Policy, we would need to speak with the account holder directly to assist, so we’d need him to reach out to us himself.

I don’t understand why you just can’t give me a contact for Citi? I’ll give it to Keith. As I stated before, the number above directs him to a very RUDE lady that acts as cruel as the people that committed the fraud act. Stealing hard earn money is cruel enough without being a victim by the credit card company that represents your company. Since they reversed the charges, our family that were loyal customers have NOT been back to your store.

Thank you for reaching back out to us, llyvonda! I understand where you’re coming from. I should mention that our MyBest Buy Credit Cards are managed solely by Citibank, N.A., and they have their own Terms & Conditions on how they handle credit card issues. Unfortunately, this takes a lot of control out of our hands.


This stated, Keith will need to contact the number previously provided by KyleR-BBY, 1-888-574-1301 for further assistance with this situation. If he cannot reach someone, he is welcome to register an account here on the forums and post his issue. We will gladly look into ways to assist him.
