Hello Best Buy CS Management,
I'm reaching out to complement Amanda C who quickly assisted me with an issue with a delivery / installation of a newly purchased dishwasher and microwave over the phone 11/11/22 around 4:30pm EST. She went above and beyond!
Long story short, the third-party installation team wanted to charge me an additional $200 (on the spot) for the installation of our dishwasher due to it not being "standard", saying that the length of the water and waste lines were 12ft and not 6ft. This was without even removing the old dishwasher and any offical messurements to say otherwise. After measuring myself, it is well within 6 ft distance between the sink and the dishwasher. I've spent thousands at Best Buy over the past decade (Elite+ Member, and now Total Tech), and the "third party" installers that showed up were not up to par. Although the Microwave was installed and hauled away, the dishwasher (bigger purchase price) left a sour taste in my mouth.
Anyway, to the GREAT stuff that keeps my loyalty with Best Buy. Amanda C was beyond kind, listened to my conerns as a Total Tech member. No wait time for pick-up, she quickly and kindly addressed my concerns. After a few minutes on hold to investigate the issue, she came back stating that Best Buy would have a NEW team out next week to install and haul away our old dishwasher. In addition (above and beyond) she issued me a gift card to Best Buy for the inconveience. I was NOT expecting this, but truly sets the bar higher.
Thank you Amanda C! You made my day, and I hope our next installer team will be better on Wednesday!
PS - Best Buy does need to have an easier way to make compliments to your employees. Took me forever to find an easy route to have this on record!
