CitiBank - Worst Experience

I have been on auto pay for my Best Buy CC for YEARS. I was charged several $35 late fees due to a change in my banking account from a checking to a BOA “Safe Balance” account. These accounts don’t allow companies to draw as checks, only wires. I begged customer service for help with the fees since my card had a balance of $98 and now is $299.00. They were rude, essentially went one step below calling me a liar and blaming me. Everyone I know will hear about this if not rectified and then the 100 or so $ they’re trying to scam from me will not be worth it. I will also be submitting claims to BBB against Best Buy who seems to idealically separate themselves from Citi Bank but has no issue with slapping their names on their cards. Disgusting.

Re: CitiBank - Worst Experience

Hey, NicoleMarie123,

Thanks for connecting with us on our forums! We always love new members. However, I do wish it was under better circumstances. As someone who also uses auto pay, I totally understand how important it is that it works how you expected. Sorry to hear there may have been an issue with that!

Citibank, N.A. is the issuer of your My Best Buy credit card account. Unfortunately, we are unable to access your account to review this with you. Please contact Best Buy Credit Card support through Citibank at (888) 574-1301 for further assistance.

NicoleMarie123,

I am sorry to hear you feel that way. However, our Best Buy Credit Card support through Citibank would be best suited to assist with this. If you use Twitter, I may recommend reaching out through Citibank's customer service handle, @AskCiti as well.
