So I get this email from Citi that I need to update my additional user info. I check and it is a real email. Not a phish scam. So I log in and look and see where I can update my additional user. Apparently, I canot since it is NOWHERE to be found. Then I spend over an hour with off shored customer service. Then, they tell me I cannot update and I need to revalidate and sign up again for my account. So then that means I have to go through the entire process again. Which takes forever. Also means my logged password in my password vault has to be changed and I have to sign up again. All this takes a lot of time. I specifically told them NOT to disassociate me from current acount. Just manually fix this behind the scenes. I called and talked the outsourced customer service and frankly I am tired with this. I have a small balance on my account and once I am paid off I am closing this acount. I love my citi rewards card and double cash but this Best Buy card is a PITA. I dont need a response from outsourced customer service rep. Once my balance is paid, I am closing this account. Tired of dealing with you idiots. I specifically said DONT disassociate me from my current account but they still did. Now to pay bills I have to go through this process again of signing up. So done with outsourced citi customer serivice.

What's crazy is that this is the CitiBank N.A. policy, not just because you talked to someone who was available in their time zone at the time you reached out. In a day and age where data breaches and account compromising is a regular occurrence, as a consumer I fully support this process. Something doesn't add up and they require a full re-authentication. Banking companies are trying to plug the security holes that have been prevalent for years.

Agreed. They fully took me off my account and are now making me resubmit all my info. I paid monthly on my account. I just was trying to verify my additional user. And they completely blew up my account. Like I said, I will pay off this card and close the account. I am tired of dealing citi out sourced idiots dealing with my account.
