Canceling old tech support

Tried canceling old tech support that’s due to renew in March. It was under my moms name. Her credit card. She has since passed away SIX months ago. I called for my father to cancel this tech support. They want the number of my moms DEATH certificate and the last four of her credit card it was in!! Seriously? We’ve already bought the TOTAL Tech Support in January. No need for two! But to have to get my moms deaths certificate to prove she’s dead to CANCEL an old tech support? Wrong. I had easier and nicer people dealing with the RMV when canceling her license and her disabled placard. At least they believed me.

Re: Canceling old tech support

Greetings, KAP3,

I appreciate the time you’ve spent reaching out to us on the Best Buy forums and I want to apologize for any inconvenience you’re having cancelling the Total Tech Support membership.  I’m hoping you’re able to get everything you need resolved after working with the proper support team.

Our Privacy Manager would be who I would recommend working with to better assist with your mother’s information.  I’d recommend emailing them at PrivacyManager@bestbuy.com, and fill them in on the circumstances.  Hope you're able to get this taken care of soon!
